Jacob Whittingham is the author of ‘What Being Black Is And What Being Black’, an investigation into the stereotypes that are associated with Black British youth. He is also the contributor to ‘Letters to a Young Generation’, a continuation of his work with think-tank, Race On The Agenda helping to improve teaching methods in schools for people of African descent. Prior to this, Jacob helped set up the award winning youth-led charity, SE1 United, developing innovative programmes that provide mentoring and academic support, and he has recently completed a PhD investigating the identity of mixed-race children.
